Save our kids from RIDE

Yes, I support the call for the Commissioner’s Resignation and for Repeal of RIDE’s Curricula Authority

Take Action Now! Please help Rhode Island students by submitting joining the call for Green to resign and to overturn the power of the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) to override local curricula

With student achievement failing across our state and with learning-inequalities that have only gotten worse, the un-American and radical race and gender theories openly pushed by RIDE, which are dividing our communities, can no longer be tolerated.

The RI Department of Education and its commissioner, Angelica Infante-Green, have proven to be wholly ineffective, irresponsible, and unworthy of the authority granted to it by the people of Rhode Island.

During the pandemic, Infante-Green publicly supported school mask mandates across the state, without any scientific backing. Overwhelming research now shows that masks were totally ineffective, if not harmful to children who were forced to wear them throughout the school day.

Further, under her authority, RIDE has continually sought to infuse controversial and inappropriate political and sexual theories into K-12 curricula … and to infringe upon parental rights.

RIDE also encouraged educators to participate in a DHS-funded program that trains teachers how to indoctrinate students with a far-left world view and to censor conservative media sources … by offering to pay them $500 and by issuing ten continuing education hours for professional development.

Niyoka Powell, former State Senate candidate, has called for Infante-Green to resign. However, even greater action is necessary if we are to save our kids’ futures.

By submitting this e-petition, I call for:

  • The immediate removal of Angelica Infante-Green as RIDE Commissioner, whether by resignation or firing.
  • Passage of legislation in the 2024 General Assembly session to return curricula decisions to local communities by repealing the 2019 law that gave RIDE authority to mandate curricula to local school districts.

I also authorize an email to be automatically generated on my behalf and sent to key education bureaucrats and elected officials.

The following text will be emailed to key leaders at RIDE, the Statehouse, and the Governor:

Because of a long-train of controversies and failures at the Rhode Island Department of Education, I hereby petition state leaders to effect a leadership change and a repeal of RIDE’s curricula mandate authority. Specifically, I call for:

  • The immediate removal of Angelica Infante-Green as RIDE Commissioner, whether by resignation or dismissal.
  • Passage of legislation in the 2024 General Assembly session to return curricula decisions to local communities by repealing the 2019 law that empowered RIDE with the authority to mandate curricula standards and guidelines to local school districts.

There are many reasons why I believe these measures are necessary.

(Your Individual Comments)

In conclusion, Commissioner Infante-Green and RIDE have proven to be wholly ineffective, irresponsible, and unworthy of the authority granted to it by the people of Rhode Island.

I urge you to take immediate action.
