#WeWantOurSummerBack
TAKE ACTION TODAY:
The Governor has stolen our summer and the General Assembly is letting is happen!
RI’s curve is approaching ZERO; states across America are opening without problem, protesters are allowed large gatherings, jobs and the economy are booming nationally … yet our RI summer remains locked down. Why?
The Governor has just extended the “state of emergency” and the General Assembly has failed to act on its authority to end this madness, sitting idly by while the wreckage continues to mount.
Based on legal analysis by the Flanders Legal Center for Freedom, the forced summertime closures dictated by the Governor in April … far exceed the Governor’s emergency powers. See this In The Dugout video analysis by Mike Stenhouse shows that current data does not support continued lockdowns.
As a result, ranked as the 2nd most restrictive state in the nation in responding to the CV-19 crisis, not only are Rhode Island families and businesses suffering today from arbitrarily harsh social and economic shutdowns by Governor Gina Raimondo … but she has also stolen the summer for residents and tourists by prohibiting mid-size and large gatherings of any kind.

And the General Assembly has failed to act on its Constitutional and statutory authority, sitting idly by while the wreckage continues to mount.
Unless the Governor’s arbitrary edicts are immediately reversed, the economic and societal wreckage that will result … will be incalculable, with a devastating impact on our state for years to come.
WE WANT OUR SUMMER BACK … IT’S OUR CHOICE
It should be the choice of each organization and each individual whether or not they will organize or attend group functions.
In addition to the tens of thousands of Rhode Islanders being laid-off from work, many dozens of important and traditional summertime activities have been arbitrarily outlawed by Governor, without legal authority … and without any supporting data or science.
